What we do

Events and activities for and with the local community offer the opportunity for locals and travelers from other countries to gain shared experiences. For example, joint clean-up campaigns on the beach, evenings with live music and artists from different countries and creative workshops on various topics take place at regular intervals. The olive harvest, which is omnipresent in Greece in winter, is also managed together.
This place also offers people from different countries the opportunity to take part in so-called work camps. The belief in togetherness and the merging of cultures is combined with the topic of animal welfare in a very concrete way. The Filia project not only opens its doors to locals and people from different countries, but also offers a (temporary) home to animals in need, especially injured, sick and very young cats and dogs. Thanks to the work of the volunteers, the animals receive healing and medical treatment on site – here they are sterilized, trained and socialized by giving them lots of love and affection. This helps the often shy and frightened strays to gain trust in people and ultimately have a chance of being adopted.

With the help of many volunteers, the Filia Vereint association is creating a place that is a safe oasis of exchange and relaxation for animals and people of all nations.
